Everyone has opinions about what makes art quality. The question I always ask myself when looking at an art piece is, “did the artist do what they wanted to do?” What was their vision, and did they make it a reality? Accessing the quality of art through like or dislike is too subjective. The truth is the artist most likely was not thinking of me when they made their artwork. Whether it related to me or not was not their primary concern. Artists have been pressured for a long time to create art that is inclusive and accessible to all people.
My goal is to honestly depict life the way I see it and not everyone will like it. My hopes are that someone else like me connects with something I wrote. I want to be an ambassador to those who see life through a similar lens as me. If you have time to tune in, I have time to share.
